Just thought you might like to see
my progress on the shade tent.
Any body can put up a tent, or build a dome out of tube steel
and parachute material,
but will it hold up in the wind?
Will it be cool to sit under?
Will it be cool to look at?
oops broke 1/2 of one arch.
put the bent arches up in the "gazebo" arches rather flimsy and broke
one side of an arch..futzed around a bit and was not satisfied with the over
strength.. came up with a different arch structure with crossings.. much
much more stable. and easier to install
The 4 "/\" at each corner will go up first and get the webbing started
next the camo netting goes up so we can work in the shade. the rest
of the spider web is made the camo netting secured.
then the parachute material tied to the underside of the spider web.
next the arches are woven together and bound then spread flexed and slip
ropes paced over each leg.
then the area where the arches cross are tied and life is good. maybe then
tied to the 4 "/\" and then it is hammock time!
