What do you do when you have a
flat yard with a path right down the middle?

We dug a pit at the lower end for the
pump and to create a reservoir of water to pull out of.
Next carved a stream into the 50 foot
area "double 'S' shape"
then placed felt down first, then EPDM
pond liner and hand placed all the rocks in the stream.

Note the larger rocks scattered in to
break up the look of all those round rocks!
eventually a bridge will cross
the stream up by the patio door.

The Plank marks the size and
location of the future bridge (some time later this year)

large thick slabs of rock are
glued to the liner using "POND FOAM"
this forms a seal between the pond liner and the water fall rock.
With luck the water will dam up behind those flat rocks and
then spill over in a nice sheet

The pump we used is a Dannor
WF4000
as you can see we are getting the
maximum visual effect for that small of a pump
for a project of this size.

This stream will provide a source
of drinking water for Deer, Raccoons, Ducks and Geese

Every speck of pond liner has a
good layer of rock over it
to protect it from sharp hooves and claws.

The sound of water will draw in
other Song Birds throughout the year
